GREEN RESTAURANT is awarded to restaurants that want to make an extra effort to be sustainable and care for the environment and be able to document this effort.

Definition is like the Nordic Swan label; that is, restaurants also include institutional kitchens, canteens, street kitchens, cafes and chain restaurants, as long as it is clear which part is labeled GREEN RESTAURANT.

About the criteria

To be awarded the GREEN RESTAURANT, it is necessary to comply with a number of criteria listed in this set of criteria.

  • Mandatory criteria that must be met before the award

  • Point criteria that give 1 to 5 points, depending on the weight of the criterion.

  • All mandatory criteria and min. 30% of the relevant point criteria must be met in order to be labeled GREEN RESTAURANT.
